- Which operating system do you use and why?
"OSX not really linux, cos you don't understand the underlying system"
From Linux -> questions of opening your terminal / command lines
- linux asks for more involvement from you, because things don't work directly..
- not-working is part of the experience
- discomfort to get comfort
- Frustrating experience push you to solve problems
- collaborative software that asks of people to get involved, reporting problems, issues and felling that you are part of a collaborative project
with windows, there always were troubles and was needed to search and find solutions.. then with mac, this disappeared and there was no need/urge to solve problems anymore
You get used to lay back and do nothing. There is no particular entry point or invitation for you to manually fix any problem/take control over your machine.
always solving problems..
using the terminal: not needed in the first place, but makes you feel connected to your machine.
+ it's a never ending learning proces --> much a process of trying and using different commands
